  • Windows based SSTV and Fax, but now also with Navtex and Synop decoding - very popular too

NEW - SkySweeper Just take a look at the features

  • The popular Windows based decoder which has received many reviews from Mike Richards in his Decode column, in The Short Wave Magazine

NEW - Log Analyser V1.7.4 Click Here

  • If you're decoding ACARS messages for a long enough period of time you can end up with a huge number of log files produced by the ACARS decoding software. We developed Log Analyser for Windows to manage all those logs. You can Import log files from a variety of ACARS Decoding programs (such as SkySpy, AirNav and Airmaster) and display the data in a variety of ways that makes it easier to determine exactly what you've heard and when you heard it. The Log Analyser page will provide more details of exactly what the program can do to help you manage all those logs.

    RadioRaft Version 3.21

  • Despite the newer SoundCard programs, many customers prefer RadioRaft and HamComm with their Pervisell Demodulator

    PD - POCSAG Decode Version 2.05 - pocsag.zip (111636 bytes)

  • PD, together with a receiver or scanner, allows the off-air decoding of POCSAG paging signals at 512, 1200 or 2400 bits/second. This makes it extremely useful for the testing of paging transmitters and systems. Decoding of both numeric and alphanumeric pager data is supported, as is the hex dumping of raw POCSAG codewords. PD uses a simple interface between a receiver or scanner's audio output and a COM port on the PC. In addition received pages may optionally be sent in ASCII form to another COM port. Once you've tried the shareware version, you may order the FULL REGISTERED VERSION from us, with your Credit Card. If you have already registered, just download the latest version and run it with your original .KEY file in the same directory. The latest version has the following enhancements.

    VERSION 2.04 Sept 1997

    * Language features configurable by means of .LNG files.
    * Re - introduced short single-line display and log formats.
    * TextScan facility, allowing up to 10 text strings to be searched for in received messages.
    * Serial output enabled in shareware version - allows evaluation with Dave Evans' P_Base.
    * Options for date and time on serial output.
    * "Filter" facility to restrict decoding to only those RIC's listed in PAGERS.INI or messages containing matching text strings.
    * Ability to globally reject tone-only pages.
    * PAGERS.INI and REJECT.INI may now each contain up to 1000 entries.

    VERSION 2.05 February 2000

    * Added support for parallel printer output.
    * TEXTSCAN.INI can now have up to 100 strings.
    * Logging of TEXTSCAN pages to separate log files.
    * TEXTSCAN strings now work with space at beginning or end.
    * Select logging of numeric, alpha or both via "logging" variable.
    * Time stamping of received pages on screen.
    * Fixed "Year 2000" bug in "expire" feature.
    * Switching between two mapping tables, using control codes (see CHINESE.LNG).

    Currently Version 2.3

  • GSH-PC is a program for sending and receiving SSTV (Slow-Scan Television) pictures. This program is not a multi-mode decoder for FAX/RTTY/PACTOR/etc., it was designed specially for SSTV. Although the program needs a very simple modem circuit, it offers a very good picture quality.

Listings of Fax Stations (Updated March 1998) - faxfreqs.zip (30303 bytes)

  • These listings contain all fax stations on LF-MF-HF sorted by freq and time, and also all Satellite rebroadcasts on LF-MF-HF. Marius Rensen's latest list!

List of Navtex Stations - navtex.zip (12422 bytes)

  • An up to date list of Navtex stations on 518 KHz sorted by classification and area. Essential for the serious HamComm user!

NEW HF and VHF Aircraft Listings - NOT downloadable CLICK HERE TO VIEW

  • LOTS of information for the keen Aircraft Listener. One of our customers was kind enough to compile this really great listing to help others. Over the years, in various countries where he has had the good fortune to work, he has collected details of around 137 airlines, listed by callsign as heard on H.F. or V.H.F., all of which are now available FREE for your reference.
  • This is also mirrored on our Radio CD which contains all of the software on this site.

    JVFAX Version 7 - jvfax70.zip (722388 bytes)

  • JVFAX 7.0 is a multi purpose program for the reception of both weather chart and photo style fax. For radio amateurs and others, there is an additional transmit-option for FAX and a SSTV transmit/receive facility. Fax reception can be performed fully automated, supporting time schedules. The automatic creation of weather movies is supported when receiving geostationary satellites.
  • To make FAX setup easy for you, go to the JVFax directory (default is JVFAX70) and (only once) run USECOM1 if you will be using Com1 or USECOM2 if you will be using Com2. This will set the normal fax defaults for you.

    PSK31 - p31sbw108.zip (183,132 bytes)

  • In spite of new DSP technology appearing in HF data modes, traditional RTTY has maintained it's popularity. There is evidently a special quality in RTTY that is missing in newer modes. It may be that RTTY is easier to use, or more "hands-on", or more sociable since you can listen-in and join-in which an ARQ link cannot do. It may just be because RTTY is cheaper. A new mode is emerging over the last year which may bridge the gap between RTTY and the high-tech modes.
  • Based on an idea by SP9VRC, the PSK31 mode is based on the use of low-cost DSP starter kits and public-domain software, using modern DSP techniques to implement a basic live-QSO transmit-receive keyboard-to-screen mode. The bandwidth of PSK31 is much lower than any other data mode, which means it can work at lower signal levels in today's crowded bands. The basic idea of PSK is that keying is done by phase-shifting the carrier rather than frequency-shifting it.
  • The bandwidth is equal to the baudrate rather than to the shift plus the baudrate. With the chosen baudrate of 31.25, that brings the bandwidth down from the 300-500Hz of other modes down to 31Hz.
  • By using an alphabet similar to morse with short codes for common letters, the text speed of PSK31 comes out at about 50 wpm. By using the narrowest possible filters in the transmitter and receiver, the performance of PSK31, even without error-correction, is certainly better than most, and has the added advantage for live QSOs that the performance degrades very gracefully as the signal drops.
  • For paths where errors occur in bursts rather than randomly, PSK31 can be switched to use a convolutional code at the transmitter and a matching Viterbi decoder at the receiver. QPSK, with 4 phase-shifts instead of two, is used for this, but the bandwidth and text speed stay the same. The price paid for this robustness is a tighter frequency stability requirement and a delay of 640mS in the decoder.

HamComm Version 3.1 Now DISCONTINUED but you may still visit the UNOFFICIAL HAMCOMM PAGE or take a look at SkySweeper Lite - the SoundCard Replacement for HamComm

  • We were the first site to carry the new version of this useful software.
  • We now host the Unofficial HamComm Page and there is NO SUPPORT for this discontinued product
  • This page is supplied on a voluntary basis, purely due to public demand, so may be withdrawn at any time
  • You can still download your local language versions of the related text files in Dutch or Italian
